What I would actually wear

The outfit should work for city history and a possible grotto outing.

  • Wear shoes that handle dusty streets, temple grounds, and uneven paths.
  • Carry sun protection for open, bright days.
  • Add a wind or warm layer when the season has sharp evenings.

Wuwei is not a fashion puzzle. The real comfort problem is the Hexi Corridor feeling: dryness, glare, wind, and the possibility that a short historical stop becomes a longer outdoor day.

If you are going to Tiantishan Grottoes, dress for the outing before you dress for a photo. The day will feel better when shoes and layers are already solved.
