How to get around Manama
Match the route to the shape of the city, not just the map.
- Use public transport for longer jumps
- Group the day by area
- Let walking and transit support each other
Getting around Manama is easier when each day has one main area, one longer move if needed, and enough walking time inside the same neighborhood. Use taxis or ride-hailing between districts, then walk once you are inside the waterfront, souq, or museum zone.
Keep Bahrain National Museum, Haji's Cafe, and Manama Souq on one side of town at a time instead of crossing the city for every stop. Drop bags first, then use Bahrain National Museum or Manama Souq as the first fixed stop so the day starts with a real address.
Most transport problems come from forcing too many district changes into one day rather than from the system itself.
