How transport works in Ankara
Match the route to the shape of the city, not just the map.
- Group the day by area
- Use the simplest transfer
- Let walking and transit support each other
Use metro for longer jumps, then walk Kizilay, old-city edges, or a chosen district once you arrive.
Each day should stay compact: Ulus, museum-and-republic core, or Tunali/Kavaklidere. A direct ride is usually the cleanest first move in Ankara unless your hotel sits exceptionally well for the airport bus logic.
Most transport problems come from forcing too many district changes into one day rather than from the system itself.
